Meet Tom, Kartboy Tom
Kartboy was born in a San Diego machine shop in 1999 when Tom Deadrick, frustrated by vague shifts and weak stock components, started making his own parts for his Subaru. What began as a passion project quickly became a cult favorite among Subaru enthusiasts. Every part was designed, machined, and tested in-house by Tom himself, often with the help of the local Subaru community.
Over two decades later, Kartboy is still known for no-nonsense performance, bulletproof quality, and a fiercely loyal fanbase. In 2025, Kartboy teamed up with the crew from Company23 and BuiltRight Industries to carry the brand forward - honoring the legacy while doubling down on innovation and new product engineering.

A Brief History of Kartboy
All Wheel Engineering is the work of Tom Deadrick, better known as “Kartboy”, an aerospace fabricator by trade with deep roots in high-performance motorsport. Based in San Diego, Tom brought advanced composite and metal fabrication skills to the world of Subaru tuning in 1999, backed by hands-on experience in CART, NHRA, SCCA, IMSA, and 125cc shifter kart competition. His reputation grew as his parts delivered real results, not just promises. In 2025, Tom partnered with Chad DeBaker, Ryan Mattson, and Mark Menzenski of Company23, along with Matt Beenen of BuiltRight Industries, to carry the Kartboy legacy forward. That same year, Kartboy moved its headquarters to Wisconsin to join forces with Company23 under one roof.
